Jamie Barrett: Happy 42nd Birthday to Rush’s Permanent Waves album!! My absolute FAVORITE Rush album! I think it’s their best sounding album by far- the drums sound crisp and clean, especially on my favorite Rush song, “Natural Science!” The guitars cut and sizzle! On Moving Pictures, they sound muffled to me… First album where Geddy made a noticeable jump down in vocal range! First album where there were no longer album side long songs! This is their zenith, pinnacle! #rush #thespiritofradio #permanentwaves
