lilacsaint: Lilac Saints | Stay Home Jam ************************* It only took a global crisis to get my old band The Lilac Saints back together for an online jam. The last time we collaborated in the studio & had airtime on the radio was yonks ago, so it was a hoot ‘telecommuting’ with my bros @gogomonster (the guy with the gorgeous voice who’s also a member of local Mandopop group Dreamz FM), @youjinoui (bass/lead) & @lilacsaintdrums (drums) (missing Bhaskar) to record stuff just like the good ol’ days. I penned this song ‘Wasting Time’ for the soundtrack of Eric Khoo’s movie ’12 Storeys’ in 1997, which seems apt for this circuit breaker period, where we all “waste” time & (hopefully) #staythefuckhome. And here’s my silver lining: I feel blessed to rekindle old friendships & rediscover my love for music, a passion that has taken a backseat these past few years. Ok, enough rambling.
