fitcatholland: "Kick-ups" are a fun and challenging cardio element to add to your training. In addition to the cardio aspect, you'll also be working your core, shoulders, arms and legs - pretty much your entire body! I like putting them as the third or fourth exercise in a circuit to really get my heart rate soaring! .... Kick up as though you are going up into a handstand, and switch your legs mid air; ie push off with the right leg and switch legs mid air so that you land on the left foot. Push off again and repeat, alternating legs, doing them for 30 - 60 seconds at a time (As a progression, you can always do these against a wall and you don't have to kick up as high as I am doing here). This was about my 3rd attempt when filming this to get the right angle on the exercise, and you can see my kicks get just a little less high each time 😄 these will get you!
