resultzfitness: I'm not sure what the picture on the bottom is focusing on & what she do is her business but any individual that follows me know that I teach this exercise totally different. In my Opinion the hips & glutes are worked more (EFFICIENTLY) & (Safer) when you isolate the movement too just the hips. I don't teach clients to rotate there lower back(Spine). Think about this for a second: if you rotate your lower back, the leg goes up higher that does not mean your working your muscles more it just means you created more movement via spinal rotation. Secondly excessive Lumbar rotation is one of the causes of many lower back disorders that Americans have been plagued with. Just go & do your own research. Fire hydrants done to isolate the hip/glute area: While keeping your your lower back as neutral as possible raise your leg up as far as you can without rotating your lumbar spine like the video above. 📍Tip: To help with this exercise I recommend rolling a towel up & laying it across your lower back, try not too let the towel fall off your back while raising your leg laterally. #Each1teach1 #resultzfitness #stretchtovictory #Fascialstretchtherapy
