: #Wednesday can be tough. You've probably had at least a few stressful situations to deal with over the past few days, and there are still two more days until the #weekend!
Now is the time to take a few minutes for yourself and practice some #DeepBreathing. Use the video to help guide your breaths.
First, find a quiet place where you can spend a few minutes alone (and yes, it's perfectly acceptable to hide out in the bathroom!!!). Place one hand on your belly. As you inhale, you want this hand to rise. This means you are engaging your diaphragm, which is an essential muscle for deep breathing. Imagine trying to fill up your belly with air. As you exhale, this hand will fall.
Practice a few times using the video to guide your breath. Then, spend at least 2-3 minutes (up to 15 minutes, if you have the time) engaging in this deep breathing exercise. You can add relaxing music, or just enjoy the sound of your own breath.
This is a great exercise to use whenever you feel anxious, stressed, or just want some quiet time. You can also try it right before bed, as it's also a great way to help prepare your body for sleep.
