: Hope we all had a good weekend! 😊 Last week I wasn't feeling 100%, had a bit of a cold coming on and a blocked nose which didn't help breathing but still managed to train. Decided to knock the intensity down a bit and focused on the movements so I didn't loose the skill so that I can continue in my progress. Now feeling much better and got back on track with the plan on getting the 40kg press! Sometimes it good to take things down a bit when you know the body isn't feeling at its best to make sure that every movement we do is feeling good and strong so that when we are ready for that next step, you can keep moving forward instead of stalling that progress. I may be slightly wrong on this but there is a great quote from a good friend and world class coach Paul McIlroy who said 'Strength is granted by your nervous system' meaning when your ready to go up to that next weight, your body will grant you the right to do so.
