i finally made it and i'm never buying it again!

w/ the help of my awesome @blendtec, u definitely need a high speed blender to grind those almonds to a pulp! ππ
so,
1-SOAK the #almonds overnight, mine were underwater for a little over 12 hrs and w/ a pinch of salt
2- RINSE WELL
3- i used 1 cup of almonds so i addes 3 cups of water to blend ( if you want it creamier add less water, but i liked this consistency) πππΎ
4- POUR the mixture in a bowl THROUGH a NUT MILK BAG and press to get all the liquid out
( a cheese cloth won't work as well cuz the holes r bigger)
5- add vanilla & the sweetener of ur choice to taste, and combine well, u can do it back on ur blender after giving it a rinse.
and that's it!

----β¨SO WHY SOAK THEM?β¨----
ππΎraw nuts, grains & legumes have phytic acid which is essential for their growth but can cause some digestive problems on humans as well as interfere in the absorption of nutrientsππΎ
& the soaking neutralizes the high levels of phytic acid

ideally raw nuts should b pre-soaked before eating to get their full benefits, then, to bring them back
to a crispier texture u can toast n the oven @ the lowest setting for about 24 hrs,
OR
much quicker in a dehydrator, if u have one

so, if u eat A LOT of nuts u should consider pre-soaking
