: It's #fitnesstuesday and I challenge you to get outside and go for a run! Ever try trail running pushing a stroller? It is an entirely different beast but so much fun!! This is at the "fire road" at Green Mountain in Lakewood, CO. This trail rises 900 feet in just 1.5 miles. It's a leg and lung burner and if you are pushing a stroller your arms will feel the burn too! We made it to the top through hike/ jog intervals, stopping for some breaks to look for bugs : ). We even saw a rattlesnake on the way down. This is one of the first stroller runs I've done in weeks and it felt great! Here are some tips if you want to give stroller training running a try: 1. Get good tires! I bought large, thick knobby tires for more traction 2. Keep your head and chest up, good posture! 3. Don't stop moving! Especially on really steep hills you need to keep your momentum moving forward, even if it is at a snails pace 4. Make sure your kids are strapped in, especially on the downhill sections 4. If you don't have breaks like me, really lean back and take short, quick steps on the downhills, it's okay to walk too. You don't want to lose control.
