Debuting from a successful Kickstarter campaign is the SkyProwler VTOL. SkyProwler is a vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) UAV/drone that uses what Krossblade is calling a "switchblade transformation mechanism" that transforms the craft in mid flight from being a quadcopter to a seamless more aerodynamic airplane that's faster and with its v-tail configuration, more maneuverable than most other drones period. It has retractable landing gear, a max speed of 83 mph which is the fastest drone in its class so far, a 40 minute flight time, 1080p or 4K fully stabilized 12 megapixel 30 frames per second action camera with m12 lens mount, a freaking cargo drop door for specific applications, 3 axis micro gimbal, 2.4 gHz ground station with 5.8 gHz video downlink, can handle up 30 mph winds and rain, and starts at only $1,799.
