getup.getfit: You know those days when you're on a time crunch but desperately need to squeeze in some gym time? The Stairmaster used to be my favorite machine for quick cardio and lower body workouts until I discovered this beauty at the gym yesterday. Guys. Meet the Jacobs Ladder. It's a ladder on an incline that adjusts its speed according to your body movements. All you do is attach the band to your waist and climb. It looks easy but it's actually a killer cardio workout and a great upper and lower body workout (especially if you climb every other step) that places less of a stress on your back and knees than the stairmaster.
