: Don't forget to work that core. Your tummy and back work together. Strengthen them both. I used a patio cushion to help take pressure off of my tailbone. Sit-ups, leg-raises, and more are not fair to women with bigger bottoms. Also, if you have a herniated or bulging disk; indeed, you need clearance from your doctor before performing any exercise. However, having a nice cushioned mat can help relieve discomfort and straining when performing core exercises. I use my patio cushion ONLY for exercising. I do not use it on any patio furniture- ok. You can do it....slow and controlled movements. Don't pay any attention to my pigtails lol!
