: THE JETTISON CURL. Include this brutal seam splitting arm exercise into your workout to stimulate the πͺπΌπͺπΌ. These are great to add into any workout. I love adding them in as a challenge/finisher at the end of a workout. They can be done in three different sets with rest in between, or as a drop set, one after the other for reps or failure. (Track weight used and reps achieved, and make sure to increase reps and/or weight each time). One thing that makes these so effective is the use of DUAL RESISTANCE (band + barbell). Two types of resistance at once. This is a technique that can make any exercise more challenging, effective, and...should I dare say...fun π
FIRST: Grab a bar (one you can normally do 16-20 curls) and a resistance band (light to medium resistance). I prefer to attach the band to the bar as it can be awkward for the hands by holding onto both...but you can hold the band and bar together; this makes the first transition quicker if done as a drop set. Step inside the band and holding the band with a supinated grip (palms up), grab the bar, or attach the band to the center of the bar and grab the bar like you would normally do curls. Then curl away. Do 12-16 reps, or go to failure.
SECOND: Ditch the band, and curl the barbell. Do 8-12 reps, or to failure.
THIRD: Place your feet back in the band, if you stepped out of it, and curl the band until failure. I prefer to grab the band with a neutral grip (palms face each other), but supinated is fine as well. Again, last set is done to failure. And of course this is when everyone you know sees you or walks by you struggling to curls a light resistance band. It gets heavy fast. Feel the π₯ love the π₯
